You know what caught me off guard about Hotel Sofie? It’s tucked away on the second floor of this building on Boženy Němcové street, and honestly, I almost walked right past it the first time. But once you find it – and trust me, you will – it’s like discovering this perfectly polished gem that somehow earned a 9.4 rating without shouting about it from every corner.
The location is actually brilliant if you know Brno at all. You’re basically in the heart of everything without being stuck in tourist chaos. I mean, you can walk to Špilberk Castle in about ten minutes if you’re feeling ambitious, or just wander down to the old town center when you want that classic Czech experience with the cafés and all. What I really appreciated though was how quiet it stays at night – being on the second floor definitely helps with street noise, and Boženy Němcová isn’t one of those streets where trams are clattering by at all hours. The whole area has this lived-in neighborhood feel during the day, with locals heading to work and actual grocery stores mixed in with the tourist spots.
Inside, everything just works the way it should at a proper 4-star place. The rooms have this clean, modern vibe without feeling sterile – you know how some hotels try so hard to be contemporary that you feel like you’re sleeping in a showroom? Not here. There’s actual character in the details, and the staff genuinely seems to know what they’re doing rather than just following scripts. I honestly think the 9.4 rating reflects what happens when a hotel focuses on getting the fundamentals right instead of trying to wow you with gimmicks. The beds are comfortable (seriously comfortable, not just hotel-brochure comfortable), the bathrooms are well-designed, and everything feels thoughtfully maintained. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this part of Brno – well, like most European city centers really – but they’ll point you toward options that actually make sense. Check-in was smooth, no unnecessary complications or upselling attempts. It’s the kind of place where you settle in quickly and then forget about hotel logistics because everything just sort of takes care of itself, leaving you free to actually enjoy being in this fascinating city that most people still haven’t discovered yet.

1. Lokalizacja - Spokojna okolica w niskiej zabudowie. 15 minut do centrum Brna można dojechać tramwajem linii 1 lub 6. Bilet w 2025 roku 25 koron za przejazd realizuje się go przez przytknięcie karty bankomatowej do czynnika
2. Wnętrze apartamentu jest przestronne, dwie sypialnie z dużymi podwójnymi łóżkami w salonie rozkładana kanapa.
3. Aneks kuchenny świetnie wyposażony. Jest również zmywarka, płyta indukcyjna, mikrofala.
4. Gospodarze bardzo sympatyczni.
5. Osobno toaleta oraz łazienka z prysznicem.
6. Miejsca parkingowe na ulicy przed domem. Płatne dni powszednie w weekendy parking w brnie jest bezpłatny.
What could be improved: Nie zabezpieczone strome schody.

Pěkné ubytování v Brně. Výborná citronová limonáda jako pozornost. V bytě bylo příjemně teplo.
What could be improved: Pozor jen na strmé schody, musíte s tím počítat, ale nic co by se nedalo zvládnout.

Na szczególną uwagę zasługuje czystość mieszkania (wręcz niespotykana). Bardzo dobry kontakt z właścicielami. Mieszkanie wyposażone we wszystko co niezbędne.
What could be improved: Parking może być problemem. Właściciel wskazał nam darmowy parking w pobliżu, natomiast wszystkie miejsca były zajęte. Obok obiektu jest dużo miejsc parkingowych, jednak są to miejsca płatne i należy opłacić postój za pomocą aplikacji.
W mieszkaniu są wysokie schody zaraz obok sypialni i łazienki, niczym nie zabezpieczone, na które należy uważać będąc z dziećmi.

Výjimečné ubytování za skvělou cenu, parádní komunikace s majitelem, klidná lokalita se skvělou dostupností do centra. Ubytování bylo čisté a velmi moderně zrekonstruované.

Apartment was new and fresh, well equipped and location was great.
What could be improved: We haven’t been informed about big problems with free parking spaces. We got there around 9pm after whole day of driving, as it was supposed to be stop on our way back from holidays. I was looking for a spot for an hour. Had to leave my car 600 meters away, in some dodgy space. 2nd of all, even though the apartment is well equipped it doesn’t have an A/C. As it’s a top floor apartment with 3 small windows it was middle of August…Thru the whole our time there lowest temperature was 36 degrees. Highest 43…was unbearable. We were avoiding spending any time there. Floors could haven been cleaner too. As my 5yr olds socks weren’t clean after 10minutes run. Not the best overall I’m afraid.
Great apartment
The apartment is newly furnished, bright, cozy and warm. The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you might need. Parking is on the street, but nearby and safe.
What could be improved: There is no door or gate to the landing at the main door of the apartment. I'm worried that someone might fall in the dark at night while going to the toilet, which is next to those stairs.
