Hotel Belcredi
You know what struck me first about Hotel Belcredi?
You know what struck me first about Hotel Belcredi? It’s tucked away on this quiet residential street called Pohankova, which honestly doesn’t sound like much when you’re booking online – but that’s actually its secret weapon. I mean, you’re literally a ten-minute walk from Brno’s city center, but at night you’re not dealing with the usual hotel noise of trams rattling by or drunk tourists stumbling around. The building itself has this understated charm that’s so Czech – nothing flashy, but everything just works really well.
The staff here genuinely seem to care, which you don’t always get at three-star places. Check-in was smooth (they speak solid English, thank god), and the guy at reception actually drew little notes on my map showing me which tram stops to use and warned me that the good restaurants fill up early on weekends. My room was on the third floor – no elevator, just so you know – but it was spotless and had this surprisingly comfortable bed that didn’t feel like sleeping on concrete. The bathroom was compact but modern, with one of those rainfall showerheads that actually has decent water pressure. Small thing, but it matters when you’ve been walking around Brno’s cobblestones all day.
What really won me over was the breakfast situation. They set it up in this bright little room that faces the courtyard, and while it’s not some massive buffet spread, everything they do have is fresh and local. The coffee was proper strong (none of that watery hotel nonsense), and they had these amazing Czech pastries that I’m pretty sure came from a bakery down the street. The whole vibe was relaxed – you could actually sit and plan your day without feeling rushed. Parking was easy too, which if you’ve ever tried to navigate Brno’s old town with a rental car, you’ll appreciate. They’ve got spots right behind the building, and it’s included in the rate. Honestly, for a 3-star place pulling a 9.2 rating, I was skeptical at first – seemed too good to be true. But after staying there, I totally get it. It’s not trying to be fancy or trendy; it’s just consistently good at the things that actually matter when you’re traveling. Clean, quiet, helpful staff, solid location without the tourist trap pricing. If you’re the type who’d rather spend money on good food and experiences instead of paying extra for a hotel gym you’ll never use, this place makes perfect sense.

Exceptional
We stay here not for the first time. They have rooms for 4 persons, clean, comfortable bads, with air conditioning (very important in summer). Best breakfast from all 3 star hotels we ever had. We will come back again.
Nice and comfortable stay.
Hotel is nice, not far from main road, when going to Austria, so it was a good option to stay for one night on our way. If you are planning to explore Brno, it is more far from the center, but with nice views, more nature environment. Nice restaurant in the same building as a hotel. Breakfast was very good. Beds were comfortable. Parking at the door of a hotel.
What could be improved: We stayed just for one night, so didn`t notice anything that we wouldn`t like.
Amazing, friendly Nicole, and beautiful room in old castle.
Loved the friendly attitude and really polite lady at reception when we have arrived, Nicole, If I am not mistaken.
