OREA Hotel Voro Brno
You know what surprised me about the OREA Hotel Voro?
You know what surprised me about the OREA Hotel Voro? It’s one of those places that doesn’t look like much from the outside – honestly, I walked past it twice before realizing this was my hotel – but once you’re inside, everything just works. The lobby has this understated Czech elegance that feels authentic without trying too hard, sort of like someone’s stylish aunt decorated it with actual care instead of hiring a corporate design firm.
The thing about staying in Brno is that you’re not dealing with Prague’s tourist chaos, which means you can actually experience a real Czech city without fighting crowds for everything. The hotel sits in a spot where you can walk to the old town center without breaking a sweat (maybe fifteen minutes if you’re strolling), and there’s this great little tram stop nearby that locals actually use – not just tourists fumbling with maps. I mean, it’s a 3-star place so you’re not getting marble bathrooms or turndown service, but the rooms are surprisingly quiet and the beds are actually comfortable, not those rock-hard European mattresses that leave you feeling like you wrestled with a brick wall all night. The staff genuinely seems to know the city well too, which matters when you’re trying to figure out where to eat dinner that isn’t some tourist trap.
What really sold me on this place was how it felt after a long day of wandering around Špilberk Castle and the old town – you walk in and there’s this sense of “okay, I can actually relax here.” The wifi works (always a gamble in smaller Czech cities), the shower has decent water pressure, and honestly the whole place just has this lived-in quality that makes you feel like you’re staying somewhere real rather than some sterile chain hotel. Plus, and this might sound weird, but the breakfast area gets this amazing morning light that makes even their standard continental spread look pretty appealing. Sure, it’s not going to change your life or become your Instagram backdrop, but sometimes you just need a solid, unpretentious place to recharge between exploring those medieval streets and sampling way too much Czech beer. For what you pay, especially compared to what you’d spend in Prague, it’s actually a pretty smart choice if you want to experience Moravia without the fuss.

Guest Reviews
My room reservation was with the exact date of arrival in the city. However, due to my sudden business obligations, the hotel manager changed my stay date twice according to my request (even though it was clearly written when booking the room that it is not possible to postpone the stay date).
Also, one of the employees, thinking that I forgot my phone in the hotel on the last day of my stay, chased after me for about 10 minutes to bring my phone (even though it wasn't mine). Certainly, a big compliment to the staff.
The behavior towards my 4-year-old boy is more than commendable.
+ quiet location
+ nice and spacy room with a balcony
+ breakfast and variety of a food
It was not far from the city center. Since it is across the street from the conference center, it is excellent for people coming to the conference. I wasn't aware that this part of Brno was downtown, but I knew the area well and had a chance to work nearby over 35 years ago when I attended Mendel University. I enjoyed my stay, and the breakfast was excellent.
Good value for money, nice breakfast.
breakfast was good, the room was big enough, most of the personal is very gently and helpful.
Orea Hotel is the perfect place to stop for one night when you travel for business.
I already used it in several occasions for my colleagues and myself.
Excellent if you drive with a van and need a parking spot.
Breakfast is excellent, very rich and diverse.
- very good location, within longer walk to the old town, but still in quiet place,
- very good, varied breakfast included in the price,
- clean rooms (no aircon but with fans) with kettle and tea set,
- spacious free parking just on the side of the building,
- great cancellation policy- you can cancel your stay at any time before your arrival, which is especially valuable while being on a long trip
The room is very spacious and had balcony. Breakfast is great and the hotel is at the great location.
Clean, standard breakfast
