You know what really struck me about Apartmány Krkoškova? It’s one of those places that completely overdelivers on what you’d expect from a 3-star spot. I mean, when I first pulled up, I wasn’t sure what to think – it looks pretty unassuming from the outside, honestly. But then you step inside and everything just clicks.

The apartments themselves are what sold me. They’re not trying to be fancy or Instagram-perfect, but they nail all the things that actually matter when you’re staying somewhere. The kitchenettes are properly equipped (I’m talking real knives that cut, not those sad plastic things), the beds are genuinely comfortable, and – this might sound weird but hear me out – the water pressure in the shower is fantastic. You’d be surprised how many places skimp on that. The whole setup feels like someone’s well-maintained apartment rather than a sterile hotel room, which I actually prefer. There are little touches everywhere that show someone cares – decent coffee in the kitchen, extra blankets that don’t smell like industrial detergent, windows that actually open wide enough to get fresh air.

What really gets me is that 9.5 rating, and after staying there I totally get it. The staff (well, I mostly dealt with one woman who seemed to run everything) was incredibly helpful without being pushy. She gave me actual useful advice about the area – not just the touristy stuff but where locals go. Parking was straightforward, which honestly can make or break a trip. The building itself is quiet; I never heard neighbors stomping around or TVs blaring through the walls. And here’s something I appreciated – check-in was flexible. I arrived earlier than expected and instead of making me wait around, they just sorted everything out. It’s those little things that bump a decent place up to somewhere you’d actually recommend to friends. The location works well too – you’re not right in the chaos of the main tourist areas, but you’re not stranded either. I could walk to restaurants and shops easily enough, but come back to somewhere that felt peaceful. For the price point, it’s honestly a bit of a steal.
