You know what caught me off guard about HideOut Apartments? The name makes it sound like some sketchy crash pad, but honestly, this place is way more polished than I expected for a 3-star spot in Brno. I mean, when you’re walking down Antonínská street – which is basically right in the heart of the old town, by the way – you’d almost miss the entrance if you weren’t looking for it. That’s actually kind of perfect though, because once you’re inside, it really does feel like your own little hideaway from all the tourist chaos.
The apartments themselves have this really nice lived-in quality that a lot of hotels try to fake but never quite nail. The kitchenettes are actually functional (I’m talking real cookware, not those sad little setups with one bent spoon), and the living spaces feel like someone’s cool European flat rather than a sterile hotel room. What I really appreciated was the attention to small stuff – proper blackout curtains that actually block light, decent water pressure in the showers, and Wi-Fi that doesn’t cut out every five minutes. The building itself has some character too; you can tell it’s got history, with these thick walls that keep things surprisingly quiet even though you’re literally steps from Špilberk Castle and all the main action.
Location-wise, this is where HideOut really shines, and I think it’s why they maintain that solid 8.5 rating. You’re maybe a three-minute walk from Zelný trh (that’s the cabbage market square, which sounds weird but it’s actually the beautiful main square with all the cafes), and the tram connections are right there when you need them. I loved being able to grab coffee at one of those little places on Česká street in the morning, then walk back through the winding streets without dealing with any tourist trap nonsense. Parking can be a bit of a headache in this area – honestly, most of central Brno is like that – but the staff actually gave me some solid local tips about where to find spots that don’t cost a fortune.
The whole operation feels pretty personal too, which you don’t always get with apartment-style places. Check-in was smooth, and when I had a question about getting to the train station, the person at the desk didn’t just point me toward a map – they actually explained the best route and mentioned which trams to avoid during rush hour. Little things like that make a difference when you’re trying to figure out a new city. Sure, it’s not luxury by any stretch, and if you’re expecting daily housekeeping and a concierge, you might want to look elsewhere. But for the price point and that location, especially if you want to feel like you’re actually living in Brno for a few days rather than just visiting, HideOut delivers exactly what it promises.

Apartmán jsme hledali podle pozice a ta nám vyhovovala.
What could be improved: Základní vybavení chybělo. Informace nutné k ubtování na poslední chvíli - musel jsem si o ně napsat a pak mi bylo strženo 200,- Kč za SMS komunikaci.

What could be improved: Wir waren vor der Check in zeit dort, jedoch gab es kein Personal vor Ort. Wir haben als beweis ein Video gemacht. Man konnte niemanden erreichen und sie haben sich weder per Mail noch per Telefon gemeldet. Booking hat mir versucht zu helfen, vergeblich, dieser hatte auch niemanden erreicht. Nie wieder ein Apartment per booking, da das Personal nicht da ist. Am nächsten Tag erhalten wir eine Nachricht, dass wir nicht zur check in zeit da waren, was gelogen ist.
Aber trotzdem war der Aufenthalt sehr schön für uns und auch für Familien geeignet.
Die Lage sehr zentral dicht zur Innenstadt. Parken ist auch ein wenig teurer gewesen, als die angegebenen 15 Euro pro Tag und man mußte über eine App günstige freie Parkplätze erst finden.
What could be improved: Die Wohnung war sehr schlicht eingerichtet ohne Bilder wie auf den Fotos. Das machte es nicht so gemütlich.

What could be improved: Le matelas dans la chambre est très dur, j'ai eu mal au dos le matin.
Il n'y a quasiment aucun mobilier : pas de table pour manger, pas de chaises (!!), pas de tables de chevet, pas de télévision.
Il y a très peu de vaisselle : pas de bol, peu de verres... Il est vraiment nécessaire de meubler l'appartement.
Ce n'était pas très propre, en particulier sous le lit.

Dobra lokalizacja i przyjemna kamienica.
What could be improved: Brak jakichkolwiek dekoracji jak na zdjęciach (białe ściany) albo chociaż szafki nocnej.
Pobrano też pewną kwotę z mojego depozytu bez poinformowania z jakiego powodu ( nigdy nie spotkałam się z tym, że pobierano jeszcze depozyt na booking).
Zdziwiła mnie również prośba o wyniesienie śmieci i umycie naczyń ( ogólnie posprzątanie po sobie). Myślałam że to żeby posprzątać należy do obowiązków właściciela - wiadome jest że trzeba trochę po sobie ogarnąć ale nie żeby zostawić apartament na błysk chociaż sam super czysty nie był gdy przyjechaliśmy.

What could be improved: Oproti fotografiím na bookingu nebyla v pokoji žádná výzdoba (poličky, květiny), takže pokoj vypadal až příliš bile (skoro až nemocničně sterilně).
In total, a great place by itself, with horrible management
Great location, great price, seems recently renovated, in a really nice building.
What could be improved: The hosts are obviously new to this, which is not an issue by itself, but they are also not suited for renting out places to stay. When we got there, there were still dirty dishes in the dishwasher from the previous guests. The kitchen surfaces were wiped down with something that left white streaks and spots. The bathroom drains were all clogged, so you couldn't take a normal shower without the water coming back from the drain and submerging your feet. Of course, we had to take extremely short showers as a consequence so the bathroom doesn't flood. Also, we got only one towel per person, which is unbelievable! Of course, we reported this as soon as we could, and instead of handling all this, they just said something along the lines of "thank you for your feedback, we'll make sure we do better for future guests", instead of just coming to the apartment and fixing the issues in 15 minutes. Absolutely ridiculous customer service, and they even ask for a deposit! One more thing, there's no table or chairs in the apartment, so you can't eat or work comfortably.

Vše bylo skvělé, čisto, pohodlno, jednoduchá a jasná komunikace a instrukce k ubytování, bezva poloha u centra.
What could be improved: Jediná výtka, neodtékal odpad u sprchového koutu. Nepříjemné.
