But this place on Botanická street actually surprised me in the best way. It’s tucked into this quiet residential area that feels properly local, not touristy at all. You know what I mean – the kind of neighborhood where you hear Czech conversations on the street corners and see people walking their dogs instead of rolling suitcases.
The whole botanique thing makes sense once you’re inside. There’s this sort of natural, earthy vibe going on without being too precious about it. The rooms have these warm wood touches and plants that actually look healthy (you’d be amazed how many hotels kill their greenery). But here’s the thing that really sold me – that sauna. I mean, after walking around Brno’s cobblestones all day, sinking into a proper sauna was honestly perfect. It’s not huge, but it doesn’t need to be. The whole setup feels more like staying at a friend’s really nice apartment than a standard hotel, if that makes sense.
What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays, even though you’re only about fifteen minutes from the city center. The street itself doesn’t get much through traffic, so you can actually sleep with the windows cracked open – something I always test in European hotels because, well, air conditioning isn’t always a given. The walk into town takes you right past some of those classic Brno residential blocks, and there’s a decent tram connection if you don’t feel like hoofing it. Actually, the neighborhood has this great little bakery about two blocks down where locals grab their morning coffee – not the kind of place you’d find in a guidebook, but exactly the sort of spot that makes you feel like you’re experiencing the real city. Check-in was straightforward, no fuss, and the staff seemed genuinely helpful rather than just going through the motions. With a 9.1 rating, I guess other people are picking up on the same vibe I got – it’s that sweet spot where you feel like you discovered something special without paying resort prices for the privilege.

Great base close to the city.
The whole apartment was lovely- the location was great in a quiet ate but just a short walk to everything. We were staying for the MotoGP so it was just a base as we were out all day from early and therefore didn’t use the kitchen facilities but it looked to have everything you would need. The instructions for entering were excellent. My partner used the sauna which he said was brilliant. We walked to the main train station every day and one our free day went to Vienna which was great

A very nice apartment for a couple's getaway in Brno.
- Nice interior design, the room felt... roomy.
- Well-equipped kitchen with a fridge/freezer and a stove.
- A private sauna! This was really a highlight of the stay.
- The owner sent foolproof step-by-step instructions on how to pick up the keys, which key goes where, and how to check out
- The owner responded quickly to our chat messages with questions
What could be improved: Neither of these were big deals for us, but for completeness:
- The windows are older, so in the middle of the night in the winter that side of the room can get a bit cold
- The TV had a lot of apps (Netflix, Hulu, etc.) installed, but no TV channel reception

The beds were comfortable, and we could easily fit four people there. The room was very big.
The flat was very clean, and the accommodation provider was responsive.
The kitchen was well-equipped and easy to operate.
The location was very good - about a 20-minute walk from the city center.
What could be improved: We were promised two sets of keys, but it took two days to provide us with the second set, which made things a bit inconvenient for us, as we were a group of four people with different schedules.
The weather was extremely hot that weekend, and this flat is not ideal for the hot summer because it faces southwest, which makes it pretty hot in the afternoon. There's no air conditioning - only a fan, which isn't enough when the temperature goes above 30.
The WiFi was very slow, and we could barely use it.
Lastly, the power sockets aren't idealy located in the flat. If you want to work with a laptop on the dining table, you should bring a really long charging cable or an extension chord.

Great arrangement on arrival, quick check in and keys in the box. The owner was very helpful with a problem-free arrangement of a slightly later checkout.

Despite the thin mattress, the bed was comfortable.

What could be improved: The biggest drawback is the lack of air conditioning or at least a fan on hot summer days. If the curtains are drawn, no air flows through the window.
Amazing tastefull place
Botanique Rooms with sauna, are located in the center of Brno, with easy access on foot to every noteworthy place, in addition, the place is located in a beautiful district surrounded by greenery, from the window you can see the park. The interior of the room with an annex was great and inspiring, delightful minimalism, we stayed in a room named Kandinsky (he's my favorite painter!). An added great bonus was the sauna which was the culmination of the last day of our stay. I would recommend this place to anyone!
