First Impressions
Walking up to Haas Apartments on a quiet residential street, you immediately get the sense this isn’t your typical tourist trap. The building has that understated Czech charm — nothing flashy, but solid and welcoming in a way that makes you feel like you’re staying somewhere locals would actually choose. I mean, when couples are rating a place this highly for romantic getaways, you know there’s something special going on beyond just the basics.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s what I love about the location — you’re genuinely in Brno, not some sanitized hotel district. Haasova Street feels residential but you’re actually close enough to walk to the main sights without that exhausting trek you get at some places. The three-star rating might seem modest, but honestly, the location scores speak for themselves. Recent guests rated it 8.4 for location, and after spending time here, I get why. You can grab coffee at neighborhood spots, duck into local pubs, and still make it to Špilberk Castle or the cathedral without breaking a sweat.
The Apartment Experience
What sets this place apart is the apartment setup — you’re not crammed into a tiny hotel room with barely enough space to open your suitcase. Each unit has a proper kitchen where you can actually cook if you want to save some crowns or just prefer your morning coffee made your way. The beds deserve a special mention here because they’re genuinely comfortable — not just “hotel comfortable” but the kind where you might sleep better than you do at home. I was skeptical when I saw the property highlights mentioning “very comfy beds,” but they weren’t exaggerating.
Practical Perks
Let’s talk about something that’ll save you both money and headaches — the free parking. If you’ve ever tried to park in central Brno, you know this is basically gold. Most places either charge you a fortune or send you on a wild goose chase through narrow streets looking for a spot. Here, you just pull up and you’re done. It’s one of those simple things that makes your whole trip smoother, especially if you’re planning day trips to places like Moravian Karst or the wine regions.
Why Guests Love It
The 7.9 rating tells the real story — this isn’t a place trying to wow you with fancy lobbies or overpriced minibars. Instead, it delivers on the stuff that actually matters when you’re traveling. You get space to spread out, a neighborhood feel, and those little conveniences that make you feel settled rather than just passing through. The fact that couples keep coming back and rating it highly says something about the atmosphere — it’s relaxed enough for a romantic weekend but practical enough that you’re not paying for amenities you won’t use. Sometimes the best places are the ones that just get the fundamentals right, and Haas Apartments definitely falls into that category.

Guest Reviews
Nice spacious apartment, kitchen well equipped, close to public transportation and the city center is about ten minutes ride away. The dishwasher is a nice plus if staying for a bit longer.
All needed equipment was there.
Good size, practical and comfortable.
It was very clean and comfortable.
The stay was ok but there are some things you should know before you book this flat.
We booked for 3 nights 4 persons (2 adults and 2 children).
The flat has a quite big room, small kitchen with balcony and a small bathroom. For four persons there is a double bed a sofa and a kind of futon bed.
We have booked the flat for 3 nights (Thursday to Sunday) well in advance, two weeks before our stay.
Wednesday: we sent an message to the owner the day before we should arrive to property stating the time we will arrive, the second day on Thursday. He responded quite promptly that he is looking forward for welcoming us!
Well, the seconday day (Thursday) in the morning he sent a message saying that the flat was "overbooked" and it is no longer available from the day we booked (Thursday) but from the next day (Friday), if we want to accept this.
At this time (7-8 hours before we should have arrived) we took the offer to stay for two nights instead of three. I have done a bit of research and discovered that the flat(s) is listed on his own web pages for different prices (higher) and I was concluding that he had favoured a booking through his own website over booking.com.
Well, nevermind, we have arrived at the property on Friday, everything was ok. BUT on the next evening (Saturday at 8 pm) somebody called at interphone!!! We went out and a guy was on the phone on loudspeaker with the owner and we catch the exact discussion we had with the owner the days before we arrived: that the flat was overbooked and its full. That this guy should call booking.com for a refound and so on....
The conclusion is that the owner is doing what he wants with the bookings from the booking.com. So be aware!!!
Liked that the kitchen was vers well equipped.
Everything is high quality.
The bathroom is excellent.
The whole feeling of the apartmant was just like home.
The owner is vers friendly.
The apartment is perfectly equipped for 2 people and offers everything you need for a comfortable stay in Brno. Michal was the perfect host, very considerate and extremely helpful.
Good location and good city connection, the apartment was comfortable and the beds were comfortable too. The host was ok and let us stay one hour longer in the apartment. The space is a good size for a longer stay. Also, the apartment is very warm and it was good concerning snowy and cold weather.
