Hotel Centrum Brno
You know what?
You know what? Hotel Centrum Brno surprised me. I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to the building on Vinařská Street, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But there’s something genuinely charming about this spot that grows on you once you settle in.
The location is actually pretty smart – you’re tucked into this quiet residential street that most tourists never find, but you can walk to Náměstí Svobody in maybe eight minutes. I mean, you’re close enough to hear the trams rumbling down Masarykova when your windows are open, but it’s not that jarring city noise that keeps you up. The staff at check-in seemed to genuinely know the neighborhood too, which… honestly, that’s rarer than it should be. They pointed me toward this little bakery around the corner on Joštova that I never would’ve discovered otherwise – proper Czech pastries, not the touristy stuff near the main square.
The rooms themselves are what I’d call “comfortable honest” – clean beds, decent shower pressure, and windows that actually open (thank god, because some of those summer nights in Brno can get stuffy). The décor isn’t trying to be trendy or anything, just straightforward and functional. I stayed on the third floor and could see across to some of the local apartment buildings, which I actually liked – felt more like being part of the neighborhood rather than floating above it in some sterile hotel bubble. The WiFi worked fine for my needs, though if you’re planning to stream movies or take video calls, you might want to test it first. Parking can be a bit tricky around there – the street spots fill up during the day, but the hotel can usually point you toward a nearby garage if you need guaranteed space. One thing I appreciated was how quiet it got at night. You’d think being relatively close to the center would mean dealing with drunk university students stumbling around, but this little pocket of Brno seems to avoid most of that chaos. I slept better there than I did at pricier places right in the tourist zones. The breakfast was… well, it’s continental breakfast, so manage your expectations, but they had decent coffee and local cheese that wasn’t just generic hotel food. Overall, it’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re staying somewhere real rather than just passing through a travel experience, if that makes sense.
Best hotels in Brno range from charming boutique properties in the historic city center to elegant modern hotels with stunning views of Špilberk Castle and the Moravian landscape.

Back to 80's
It's a hotel on the hill, actually not really a hotel, but some kind of old sanatorium. Low price, good for a few nights if you have no other options and you need this location. The stuff is very nice and friendly, breakfast is a little simple as for me, though it's included in price. There are coffee machines and snack machines, so you won't stay hungry.
What could be improved: The bathroom needs to be refurbished. Not very clean.
Very Good
nice and quite location.
What could be improved: -The restaurant should be open also in the evening, offering dinners.
-The fitting carpet in the room should be replaced by laminated floors.
Satisfied
I really appreciated luggage storage after checkout. Thanks for that!
What could be improved: In the room there was no glass for water.
Good value for a short stay
Nice, clean room, quiet and peaceful. Wonderful reception staff. Decent breakfast.
What could be improved: Mattress was not very comfortable, too soft.
Pleasant
Breakfast was excellent, far upon my expectances.
We could extend the parking time without extra fees on the last day of our stay. It was a great help for us.
The cushion was really comfortabe and were happy having a little fridge in our room.
Liked the view from the room as well.
What could be improved: The hotel is like a former hospital. The matrasse is smelly, it needs fresh air .
Nice place to stay
The rooms were big and clean. The bathroom was clean and the staff was courteous. The gave us early checkin and it helped us a lot. The place is 5 to 6 min walk from the nearest tram station and takes 5 mins to reach city center. Its a great value for money place. We had taken breakfast option, however it was not that great. Nothing to complain though.
Very Good
What could be improved: There is no kettle in room
Very Good
The place is in quiet area, yet close to the Brno center (few stops by tram or around 30min walk).
Room and the bathroom were both very clean.
Great value for money.
Remodelled hospital setting
Yes the room was clean and comfortable..and on my arrival which was after midnight the security guard was present and gave me the keys to our room quickly..
What could be improved: Ok..its currently undergoing major renovation work and it was difficult to find the entrance..as our taxi dropped us at the higher level road that only led to the part of the building being renovated... it is also part of a medical college and you have to go to a different building for breakfast which clearly resembles a hospital along with the canteen lady dressed in hospital uniform... the main hotel area is safe and secure . But it is a very long walk to the central bus station or the center of brno
Very Good
Good location not far from the center. Also easy access by tram and bus. The room looks like a university dormitory but I found it more spacious than a hotel room. It keeps tidy and clean. Good that breakfast was included. Even I arrived out of check in time, there was a security guy helped me to do check in.
What could be improved: You have to go up hill to reach to this building. So it was bit annoying to go up every time. Otherwise there's nothing to say.
