It turned out way better than I expected for what you pay. The place sits in this quiet residential pocket of the Starý Liskovec district – and I mean quiet in the best way possible, not the “there’s absolutely nothing around” kind of quiet that leaves you stranded.
What actually impressed me was how the owner clearly gets that travelers want apartment-style flexibility without the hassle of dealing with some random Airbnb host who might or might not respond to your messages. The units feel properly lived-in rather than sterile, you know? There’s this practical setup where you’ve got actual kitchen space to make coffee in the morning (the local Tesco is maybe a 10-minute walk if you need supplies), and the beds are honestly more comfortable than some four-star places I’ve crashed at in Prague. The neighborhood itself has this authentic Czech vibe – you’ll hear kids playing in the courtyards and smell dinner cooking from other apartments around 6 PM, which I found kind of charming after spending days in touristy Old Town areas.
Here’s the thing though – and this is why I’d actually recommend it to friends – the location works better than you’d think for exploring Brno. Sure, you’re not stumbling distance from Špilberk Castle, but the tram connections are solid and you’re looking at maybe 15 minutes to get into the city center. Plus, there’s something refreshing about coming back to a real neighborhood after a day of sightseeing. The check-in was surprisingly smooth (they actually answered their phone when I called about arriving late), and parking isn’t the nightmare it can be in other parts of the city. I mean, it’s not going to win any design awards – the 7.2 rating feels about right – but sometimes you just want a clean, comfortable place where everything works and nobody’s trying to upsell you on breakfast or spa treatments. The shower had decent pressure, the WiFi didn’t cut out during my work calls, and I could actually open the windows at night without worrying about street noise keeping me awake. For what most people are probably paying here, that’s honestly more than enough.

Moc děkujeme za přichystání pokoje, včetně žehličky kterou jsem potřebovala po ruce. Super přístup, služby a bezproblémová komunikace.
Grubby and poorly equipped but in good location
Good location. Owner helpful. Whenever we asked for something, she quickly brought it.
What could be improved: Apartment not very clean, bit grubby, kitchen cupboards sticky, shower room smelly. Very poorly equipped - no bowls for cereal, no teaspoons, only 2 big spoons, only 2 big plates, 3 mugs..apartment for 4 people should have all the essential 4x. Things like fan and toaster were listed on the website as part of the equipment but weren't there - but to be fair, when asked the owner, she did bring it to us.

Cisza i spokój. Dwie sypialnie na plus. Blisko godna polecenia pizzeria La Patas. Parking za darmo. Wszystko zgodnie z opisem.
What could be improved: Mieszkanie dość ciemne i w upalne dni duszne. Na 1-2 noc jest ok, ale na więcej to jednak mało wygodne szczególnie jeśli obok są sąsiedzi.

Cicha dzielnic, dobre miejsce na krótkie nocowanie w okolicach Brna. Przestronne pokoje, duże łóżka, dobry internet.
What could be improved: Słabo wyposażona kuchni, brak podstawowych sztućców jak łyżeczki.

What could be improved: Faulty desciption. Apartment was selected mainly as in describtion it said to have parking space. After booking.com confirmation owner sent a message that parking is on the street near apartment. We managed to only find the last place 150m away.
Apartment was dirty, spider webs in both bedrooms. Rooms and bed clothing had bad smell. We found some left over meat in the fridge.
We were required to pay additional taxes in cash.
Also, owner require to clean the dishes and take out the trash (not a big problem but none of the places we went had such requirements).

Absolutní klid velký prostor dvě ložnice možnost si uvařit až na koupelnu se záchodem jsem byl velmi spokojen
What could be improved: Velký nedostatek vidím v tom že v koupelně není absolutně žádná Polička nebo věšák kam by si člověk odložil věci při sprchování to samé přímo ve sprchovém koutě není kam odložit šampon umyvadla není kam dát kartáček na zuby pastu atd To je velká škoda a myslím že by nebylo od věci vyměnit proleželé matrace termostat nad radiátorem je taky velmi originální absolutně se nedá regulovat teplota

place is quiet, unfortunatelly nothing else.
What could be improved: parking is only on the street and it’s hard to find any free space in the evening, so we has to leave the car on another street, far from apartment. Owners have own parking inside the garden, but they don’t let guests cars inside….
planning of the apartment is a disaster. toilet is on one of the rooms and you have to go thru the bed of your friends to get to the toilet and shower. this is the absolute fail…
shower needs to be replaced, but as i seen in other reviews nobody cares. water doesn’t go away from shower properly. air is very moist and room with toilet have smell of mold.
temperature in apartment was 15.6 degrees and heating was not working. floor was ice cold, so in this time of year this apartment is not suitable for living at all.
beds are disaster! every move will be heard from city centre… very noisy and uncomfortable
overall- not reccomended to anyone.

The location is quite, the apartment has everything needed for stay. Also it's warm inside and the heating can be regulated which is a huge plus when travelling during cold seasons.
What could be improved: The beds are disaster :( very uncomfortable sleep. Also the bathroom is pretty wet inside and as a result wet air smelling around. Also the apartment is a part of near built house and it has garden space but the car parking was forbidden, only allowed outside the street.

Very nice and welcoming host. The apartment was big, clean. You can park your car on the street next to the place!
What could be improved: Personally did not like that the bathroom was connected to one of the bedrooms which meant if u have to use it during the night u have to be quite to not disturb the ones sleeping.
