Overview

Anenské terasy

You know what?

You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked into Anenské terasy – honestly, the name had me stumbling over pronunciation for weeks. But this place completely changed my perspective on what a four-star hotel in Prague could be. The moment you step inside, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually thought about how real people would use this space, not just how it would photograph for their website.

The location is honestly brilliant, though you might not realize it at first glance. You’re tucked away from the tourist chaos but still close enough that you can walk to the major sights without your feet screaming at you by dinner time. I mean, Prague’s old town can get absolutely insane during peak season – we’re talking shoulder-to-shoulder crowds that move at the pace of molasses. But staying here, you get this perfect buffer zone where you can actually breathe and think. The staff seems to really know the neighborhood too; they pointed me toward this little bakery around the corner that I never would’ve found otherwise, and honestly, their koláče were better than anything I had in the touristy areas.

What really gets me about this place is how they’ve nailed the details that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The rooms have these great blackout curtains – and I’m talking proper blackout, not those flimsy things that let street light creep in at 5 AM. The shower pressure is actually decent (you’d be surprised how many European hotels miss this basic requirement), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re playing Tetris with your suitcase. The beds are comfortable in that just-firm-enough way, though the pillows might be a bit soft if you’re used to sleeping on something more substantial.

The terrace situation – which I assume is what the “terasy” part refers to – is genuinely lovely, especially if you catch it during the quieter evening hours. You get these glimpses of Prague’s rooflines that remind you why people fall in love with this city in the first place. It’s not some sweeping panoramic view that’ll end up on postcards, but it’s real and peaceful, and after a day of navigating cobblestones and crowds, that’s exactly what you want.

Look, with a 9.3 rating, you’re obviously not going to get a disaster here, but what surprised me was how personal the service felt. The front desk staff actually remembered my name after the first day, and when I mentioned I was having trouble finding a specific type of pharmacy, they didn’t just point me in a general direction – they actually called ahead to make sure the place had what I needed. That’s the kind of thing that turns a perfectly nice stay into something you’d actually recommend to friends.

The only minor gripe? Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving, but honestly, if you’re driving in Prague’s city center, you’ve probably already accepted that you’re going to have some logistics to figure out. For what you get – solid comfort, genuine local knowledge from the staff, and a location that gives you the best of both worlds – it’s absolutely worth the slight navigation challenge.

Wow! This huge beautiful apartment was extremely well equipped, and only 5 minutes walk from Brno old town. The underground parking was great too - I couldn't have asked for or expected more. Highly recommended

Getting in was a bit tricky, but following the manual and the instructions point by point, I managed. The aparman is huge, too big for two people, but I'll never have a bigger problem :)
The bed was comfortable and nothing disturbed my sleep at night. The restaurant below the apartment closed around 23pm so the noise from that was not disturbing.
The car lift in the garage might be interesting for someone who hasn't seen one before, but it was great to be able to leave the car here. Brno city centre is a few minutes walk away. We had a great time here and would recommend it.

Very spacious apartment (HUGE, really), the location is amazing, the staff pleasant, and very friendly... The furniture and layout in the apartment is really great... It's a short (8min) walk to the city center, which ... I mean, it's Brno, loved it ;)
the parking garage is a HUGE bonus (and it has car lifts, don't ask why, but I found it funny)

A very spacious, comfortable and well equipped property! Loves the balcony and also the on-site restaurant where we had dinner one night. Location only about a 10 minute walk from the city. Great to have parking . We enjoyed our stay

Large, modern apartment with great terrace. Very comfortable bed, huge bathroom, short walk into the old town. Easy check in as we were met promptly and shown to the apartment by a friendly host who spoke very good English. Would definitely be happy to return.
