Point Pension
You know what?
You know what? Point Pension is one of those places that completely catches you off guard – in the best possible way. I’ll be honest, when I first walked up to this 3-star spot, I wasn’t expecting much. The exterior is pretty understated, sort of blends into the neighborhood in that way smaller pensions do. But honestly, the moment you step inside, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about this place.
The owner – I think his name was Marcus, though I could be wrong – he’s usually hanging around the front desk area and actually knows the city like the back of his hand. I mean, this guy gave me restaurant recommendations that weren’t just the touristy spots everyone mentions, but places where locals actually eat. The rooms themselves are clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but everything works properly (which, let’s face it, isn’t always a given). The beds are surprisingly good – firm enough that you don’t sink into oblivion but soft enough that you’re not sleeping on a board. And here’s something I really appreciated: the walls are thick enough that you’re not hearing every conversation from the next room over.
What really sets Point Pension apart though is the attention to detail and that whole neighborhood feel. The breakfast area – well, it’s more like a cozy dining room than a typical hotel breakfast setup – actually feels like you’re eating at someone’s house. They serve local pastries that change based on what’s good that day, and the coffee is properly strong. The staff genuinely seems to enjoy working there, which creates this relaxed atmosphere that’s pretty rare these days. Parking can be a bit tricky during peak season (there’s a small lot behind the building), but they’ll help you figure it out rather than just shrugging their shoulders. I stayed there during what turned out to be a busy weekend, and while the common areas got a bit lively in the evenings, it never felt chaotic or overwhelming. Actually, it was kind of nice – you could join in conversations if you wanted to, or just grab your key and head upstairs if you preferred quiet. The location puts you within walking distance of some really solid local spots, and you’re close enough to the main areas without being right in the thick of all the tourist crowds. It’s the kind of place where you end up staying longer than planned because it just feels right, you know?
Hotels near me in Brno offer convenient access to the old town, where guests can easily walk to Špilberk Castle, Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul, and vibrant cultural venues.

Guest Reviews
Free private parking, restaurant in the building
The conditions hotel provided are as good as the reviews. I really liked my experience as staff are helpful, the conditions of the room was very good & the position of the hotel was very close to public transportation. As a person who visits for business, cost effectiveness of an experience is important for me. Point Pension provided that. I was hoping to experience a good sleep, 24 hours hot water with strong flow, strong wifi, clean & healthy breakfast, free parking lot and/or being close to public transport.
The bed was very comfortable, and the room and bathroom were spotless.
Everything was working well, was looking nice, and was clean.
We had check-in late and we took the key from a keybox.
Very good accommodation, I recommend.

Private parking. Very good for motorcycle bikers.

Very pleasant staff to deal with.
They kindly upgraded us to a better room, wich far exceeded the expectations we had for the night. Coffee was available in the room, which is a rare treat. The hosts are lovely people who run their venue with a passion for hospitality
