You know what caught me off guard about Guest House Krpole? The moment I walked in, it felt like I’d stumbled into someone’s really well-kept family home rather than a typical three-star place. I mean, don’t get me wrong – it’s clearly a guesthouse, but there’s this warmth that you just don’t find at those cookie-cutter chain hotels.
The rooms are honestly better than I expected going in. Nothing fancy, but everything works the way it should, and the beds are actually comfortable (I’m picky about this stuff after years of travel). The bathrooms are clean and modern enough – hot water comes fast, which is always a win in my book. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. You’re not dealing with paper-thin walls or hearing every conversation in the hallway. The owners clearly put thought into the little things that make a difference when you’re trying to get some decent sleep.
Here’s the thing that really sold me on this place – the staff actually seem to care about what they’re doing. Check-in was smooth, no weird hidden fees or surprise charges, and when I had questions about getting around the area, they gave me real answers, not just whatever’s printed on a tourist pamphlet. The whole vibe is just… relaxed, I guess? Like they want you to feel settled rather than rushing you through some corporate hospitality script. Parking was straightforward too, which saved me the headache of circling blocks looking for a spot. Honestly, for what you pay, you’re getting solid value – it’s one of those places where the 8.9 rating actually makes sense once you stay there. Not trying to be something it’s not, just doing the basics really well.

The location for my planned activity was perfect. Also, they had a nice place to park my bike. Nice, clean room.

Based on a one night experience only! The hotel looks more like a private house from outside. The room I was offered was cozy and very clean. The bed was comfortable. There was an air-conditioner, a TV, and a small mini bar with beverages, there was even a hair dryer in the bathroom -all the basic things a person could need. There is a kitchen corner on the floor where one can prepare coffee/tea or use a microwave/oven (I didn't use them though). The wifi signal was good. The location is not close to the city center but the access to the hotel is quite simple - one should just take tram number 12 from the main station and it stops at about 3 mins walk to the house. It is next to a gas station, so you can't miss it. There is also a big sign with the name of the property, it is easy to find. I hadn't noticed that the property only accepts cash payments on site but the owner was very understanding and polite, he told me I can just pay on the next day. I can't complain about anything.
Our bus was delayed and we arrived after the check in hour. The landlord kindly waited for us, gave us instruction on how to arrive and picked us up in the tram station. Big, quite and clean rooms. Good internet connection and good minibar prices. Nice neighbourhood with cafes, bars and restaurants.Tram 2 mins from the guest house. 10-15 mins by tram from the city center and 45 walking. Highly recommended for an excellent stay in Brno at a reasonable price.

We stayed at the apartment for two nights and it was great! It had all we needed with a comfortable big bed for two persons, a small fridge with snacks/drinks you can buy, a bathroom and a very nice balcony!
The apartment was very clean and it even had a very pleasant scent! There is also a kitchenette on the same floor which you can use to make coffee or even bake something.
There is also a private parking just in front of the complex and it is very safe.
Location was also amazing as there is a tram station just 50 meters away from the apartment and it goes directly (7-8min) to the centre of Brno and during the night there is a bus line that stops right in front of the apartment. There is also a gas station, tobacco shops, bakery, kebab shop and supermarket all nearby!!
All in all it was a great stay and experience and if we come back to Brno we definitely know where to stay!
