The building can get a bit noisy during the day since Křenová is one of those streets that actually goes somewhere, but it quiets down pretty well at night. You’re close enough to walk to Špilberk Castle (that’s the big fortress overlooking the city, and the views up there are actually worth the climb), but you’re also near the tram lines that’ll take you out to the modern shopping areas if that’s your thing. I spent one afternoon just wandering through the streets behind the apartment and stumbled into this whole area of cafes and vintage shops that I never would’ve found if I’d stayed in the tourist zone. The 7.1 rating makes sense to me – it’s not luxury, but it’s solid and practical, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need. If you’re looking for a real base to explore Brno rather than just a place to crash, and you don’t mind that slightly urban, lived-in vibe, this could definitely work for you.
