I kept ending up at this little Vietnamese place called Saigon (locals will know the one) just two blocks over, and there’s a proper grocery store – not just tourist-priced mini-marts – within easy walking distance. The neighborhood gets quiet at night, which I appreciated after spending days wandering around the busier tourist areas. Though I should mention, if you’re someone who needs to be right in the thick of nightlife, you’ll want to factor in that tram ride back home.

Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that “we’ll hold your luggage but your room won’t be ready for four hours” nonsense. The staff actually seemed to know the neighborhood well enough to give real recommendations, not just the standard tourist checklist. One thing though – parking isn’t included and street parking around there can be a bit of a puzzle, especially during the week when locals are all vying for spots. But honestly, with the tram connections, I barely used my car after the first day. For a 3-star rating, this place punches way above its weight. It’s the kind of spot where you start planning your next Brno trip before you’ve even checked out.
