The building has this lived-in, authentic Czech character that you just can’t fake, with those thick walls that keep everything surprisingly quiet even when the neighborhood gets lively.
The owners clearly put thought into the small stuff that matters. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no pushy upselling or confusing key card systems, just genuine helpfulness from people who actually seem to care whether you have a good stay. The rooms are what I’d call “comfortable without trying too hard” – clean, well-maintained, with decent beds and that slightly old-school European vibe where everything’s built to last rather than just look Instagram-perfect. The bathrooms are compact but functional, and honestly, the water pressure was better than some four-star places I’ve stayed at.
What really won me over, though, was how the place fits into the local rhythm. Mornings are peaceful – you’ll hear birds before traffic, which is pretty rare these days. The breakfast setup (when they do it) feels like eating at someone’s kitchen table rather than a sterile hotel dining room. And here’s something practical that solo travelers especially appreciate – the front desk folks actually know their neighborhood. They’ll point you toward the good bakery down the street or tell you which tram to catch without making you feel like you’re bothering them. The location puts you close enough to explore on foot, but far enough from the tourist crowds that you get a real sense of how locals live. Sure, it’s not going to win any design awards, and the Wi-Fi can be a bit temperamental (though honestly, that might be a blessing), but there’s something genuinely welcoming about Penzion Dvořákova that makes you want to come back. Excellent location, cleanliness, staff attitude.
Great location, two minutes from Náměstí Svobody square (actually a triangle with stores and a tram stop) and about a 10min walk from the train station. The street below our window was packed with noisy people on a Friday night, but the windows when closed kept the sound to a moderate level.

The location is not too bad, the walk to the train station is around 12-15mins, plenty of restaurants and cafes within a 2mins walk. The staff are all friendly. The breakfast is in the fridge, has salami cheese etc.... and the bread will be delivered in the morni, It was a pleasant to stay in a clean and quiet room for nite.
Superb location, only a hundred yards or so from the main square. The room had the usual amenities, plus a small kitchen area. Continental breakfast was provided in the room. Bed was very comfortable.
The apartment is close to the center of town. Lots of restaurants and bars. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Penzion Dworakova is located in the very centre of the city. Different sites of interest including the Peter and Paul Cathedral can be easily reached. The staff is very kind and helpful, we arrived late at night and the key chip plus all instructions concerning our stay were waiting for us in the nearby bar. Thus we managed to enter our room and relax after a long journey. The breakfast system with food in the fridge and bun rolls evey morning left at the door helped us to be flexible and to follow smoothly our schedule. The room and towels were neat and clean. We would be happy to stay again at Penzion Dworakova.
The guesthouse is located in the city centre, in a street where you can find many bars and pubs. There is not a breakfastroom but in your room there is a fridge with salami, ham and cheese and the staff leaves fresh bread every morning on the handle of the door
Good location, good value for the price, kind staff, generous breakfast, silent and spacious room, microwave and water heater in the room. The bathroom was a little worn down, but the location is great.
