First Impressions
Walking up to Palac Anežka D1, you immediately get that “hidden gem” feeling — it’s tucked right into the heart of Brno on Hybešova street, but somehow feels like a well-kept secret. The building has this understated elegance that doesn’t scream for attention, which I actually appreciate. You know what struck me most? How quiet it feels despite being smack in the center of everything. The entrance has a welcoming, almost residential feel that makes you forget you’re staying at a three-star hotel in one of Czech Republic’s busiest cities.
Location That Actually Matters
Honestly, the location here is pretty much perfect if you want to experience Brno like a local rather than a tourist. You’re literally steps away from the main pedestrian zones, but you’re not dealing with the noise and chaos that comes with some central hotels. I mean, couples consistently rate this spot 8.5 out of 10, and after spending time here, I totally get why. You can walk to Špilberk Castle in about ten minutes, hit the old town square just as easily, and — this is key — you’ve got actual parking on site, which is basically gold in a European city center.
The Rooms
The accommodations at Palac Anežka D1 surprised me in the best way possible. They’re not trying to be something they’re not — no fake upscale or over-the-top design — just solid, comfortable spaces that feel more like a well-appointed apartment than a typical hotel room. The beds are actually comfortable (you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. What I really liked was the attention to practical details — good lighting for reading, decent storage, and windows that actually open for fresh air.
The Brno Advantage
Here’s something most people don’t realize about staying in central Brno — you’re getting all the benefits of a major Czech city without the Prague crowds and prices. From Palac Anežka D1, you can explore the city’s incredible café culture (seriously, Brno has some of the best coffee in the country), check out the modernist architecture that most tourists miss, and actually have conversations with locals who aren’t burned out on tourism. The hotel sits perfectly positioned for all of this — close enough to dive into the action, far enough from the main drags to feel authentic.
Why Guests Love It
The 9-star rating this place pulls isn’t an accident — it’s because Palac Anežka D1 delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense. You get a genuinely central location that doesn’t sacrifice peace and quiet, rooms that prioritize comfort over flashy amenities, and that rare thing in European city centers: your own parking spot. It’s the kind of place where you’ll actually want to come back to your room at the end of the day, rather than just crash there. For couples especially, there’s something really appealing about having this calm base in the middle of everything Brno has to offer.
Brno hotels provide guests with comfortable accommodations in Czech Republic’s technology capital, known for its innovative industries and functionalist architecture.

Guest Reviews
This efficiency apartment was everything I needed it to be. Located on a main tram line and close to the central train station it was very easy to get around. The host provided detailed information on how to get the keys and find the room. It has a well-equipped kitchenette which allowed me to save money on food (The salt & pepper grinders are a nice touch) The neighborhood is quiet and safe. Safety is always my first concern! Traveling for an extended stay the washing machine came in clutch. I stayed here for my 6 nights in Brno and would definitely stay here again.
