Hotel Europa
Hotel Europa sits right on Tř.
Hotel Europa sits right on Tř. Kapitána Jaroše, which honestly sounds intimidating if you don’t speak Czech, but locals just call it “the captain’s street” – and you’ll figure out pretty quickly that you’re in a prime spot. I mean, this isn’t some tucked-away boutique place, it’s right in the thick of things in Brno’s city center, where you can actually walk to the good stuff without needing a taxi every five minutes.
The thing about Europa is that it knows exactly what it is – a solid 3-star that doesn’t try to pretend it’s the Ritz, but also doesn’t cut corners where it matters. The lobby has this sort of old-world European feel (think dark wood and burgundy accents) that actually works instead of feeling dated, and the staff genuinely seems to care about getting you sorted out. Check-in was smooth when I was there, no weird issues with reservations or credit card holds that seem to plague half the places I stay these days. The rooms are what you’d expect – clean, comfortable beds that don’t have you waking up with a crick in your neck, and bathrooms that have decent water pressure, which honestly can be hit or miss in older European buildings. You know what impressed me though? The soundproofing is actually pretty decent for a street-facing location. Sure, you might hear some early morning trams if you’re a super light sleeper, but nothing that’ll have you cursing your booking decision.
What really sells this place is the location intelligence – you’re a five-minute walk from Špilberk Castle if you want to do the tourist thing, but also close enough to Veselá Street that you can stumble back from the local pubs without calling an Uber. The breakfast situation is solid too, proper Czech pastries and coffee that doesn’t taste like it came from a vending machine. Parking can be a bit of a dance around here (welcome to European city centers), but there’s a garage nearby and the hotel staff will point you in the right direction instead of just shrugging and wishing you luck. The 8.2 rating makes total sense – it’s the kind of place where everything works like it should, the price doesn’t make you wince, and you’re not spending half your trip figuring out how to get anywhere worth going. It’s not going to blow your mind with luxury touches, but sometimes you just want a place that handles the basics really well so you can focus on exploring Brno instead of dealing with hotel drama.

Very Good
Excellent breakfast for plant based diet. Great to see broccoli cauliflower baby peas and carrots available with selection of raw salad olives etc.
Room very clean. Comfortable bed and linens. Quiet. Good sleep.
Great value AND pet friendly!!
Staff was great, parking lot was private and secure. Plenty of tasty options for breakfast. Klima was nice and cold, even on a super hot day!
What could be improved: Separate single blankets per person when you have a queen bed with your wife is a bit strange.
Good value for money
Good value for money. Parking space. No problem at all. Standard accommodation
A comfortable hotel in excellent location
Good location, quiet, friendly staff, generous breakfast
All good, great value for the money
Closeness to downtown, clean, quiet, exactly as on the picture, good breakfast
What could be improved: The pillow was too hard and its and the duvet’s the stuffing was artificial, not down. Recomment having orange juice at breakfast. Plus the staff could smile a bit more perhaps? 😉😁
Good
It was clean. The location was perfect.
What could be improved: The mattress of the bed. It was absolutely uncomfortable.
It was written that the hotel has parking. We didn’t know that we can park inside and thought that the car should be parked outside on the street. We asked the girl at the reception and she said we should pay at the parking station, but she didn’t mention anything for the parking of the hotel. In the morning we actually saw that there is a parking spot of the hotel….
short stay
We really enjoyed comfortable bed and peaceful, quiet room. Breakfast buffet had nice options, even plant-based milk. We had some issue with room key but staff was very active to solve it and helped.
Wonderful
My favourite place to stay in Brno, great breakfast, love the bacon and boiled veg.
Very Good
It is walking distance to most attractions.
Rooms are spacious and they create a feeling of home away from home.
Breakfast was exceptional and the staff really knew what they were doing when it came to allergies
What could be improved: The housekeeping was not that good this time
