The location on Křenová street is honestly perfect – you’re right in the thick of Brno’s city center, but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with constant street noise (though I mean, it’s still a city, so don’t expect complete silence).

The apartment itself has this industrial-chic thing going on that actually works, not like those trying-too-hard loft spaces you sometimes get. The cotton theme isn’t just marketing fluff – there are these really nice textile touches throughout that make it feel warm rather than stark. I appreciated that they didn’t go overboard with the minimalist aesthetic; there’s actual storage space and the kitchen is properly equipped, not just Instagram-ready. The bathroom’s compact but well-designed, and honestly, the water pressure was better than half the fancy hotels I’ve stayed in. What I really liked was how they handled the details – decent wifi (crucial if you’re working), blackout curtains that actually block light, and a coffee setup that doesn’t make you feel like you’re roughing it.

Being apartment 205 means you’re up enough to avoid ground-floor street activity, but you won’t be hauling luggage up endless flights. The building itself has character – it’s that classic Central European mix of old architecture with modern updates that somehow works. You’re literally a few minutes’ walk from Špilberk Castle if you want to do the tourist thing, and the main shopping area is right there too. But here’s what locals know – you’re also perfectly positioned for the good stuff that’s not in every guidebook. There’s this excellent coffee place just around the corner, and you can easily walk to some of the better restaurants without needing to figure out public transport every time you want a decent meal. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this area (like most European city centers), but they’ll sort you out with information about nearby options. I’d definitely stay here again – it feels like you’re actually living in Brno for a few days rather than just passing through, and at a 4-star level that doesn’t break the bank.
