You know what struck me first about Apartment Kamenná? It’s one of those places that doesn’t try too hard to impress you – and somehow that makes it even better. There’s something refreshingly honest about the whole setup that you don’t get at those glossy chain hotels.

The apartment-style rooms are what really set this place apart. I’m talking actual space to spread out, not just a bed crammed between two nightstands. The stone elements (kamenná means “stone” in Czech, by the way) give the whole place this solid, grounded feel – you can actually hear how quiet it is at night, which is pretty rare these days. The owners clearly put thought into the details without going overboard. Like, the kitchen area isn’t huge, but it’s got everything you’d actually use, and the bathroom has decent water pressure – trust me, that matters more than fancy marble countertops.

What I really appreciate is how the staff treats you like a regular person instead of a walking credit card. Check-in was straightforward, no upselling or lengthy presentations about amenities you’ll never use. They gave me the kind of local tips you’d get from a friend – where to grab coffee that doesn’t cost a fortune, which streets to avoid during rush hour, that sort of thing. The location works well too, though I should mention it’s more of a residential vibe than tourist central. That means you’re staying where actual people live, which I love, but it also means you might walk a bit more to reach the main attractions.
