First Impressions
Walking up to Apartmán Josefská, you’ll find yourself on one of Brno‘s most charming cobblestone streets. The building itself has that classic Central European feel — you know, the kind where you can almost hear centuries of history in the creaking floorboards. It’s a three-star place, which honestly feels about right for what you’re getting here. The entrance is understated but welcoming, and I appreciated that it doesn’t try to be something it’s not.
The Apartment Experience
This isn’t your typical hotel room — it’s actually a proper apartment setup, which makes all the difference when you’re staying more than a night or two. The kitchen is surprisingly well-equipped for a place like this; I mean, you’ve got everything you need to make a decent breakfast or even cook dinner if you’re tired of eating out. The living space feels lived-in rather than sterile, with comfortable furniture that doesn’t look like it came from a hotel catalog. What really struck me was how much natural light floods in during the day — those old European windows are massive.
Location Magic
Here’s where this place really shines, and I get why couples rate it so highly. You’re literally steps away from the historic center, but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with tourist crowds right outside your window. Františkánská street connects you to everything — the old town square is maybe a three-minute walk, and you can reach Špilberk Castle without breaking a sweat. I loved being able to duck into local cafés that most visitors never find, simply because you’re staying where locals actually live and work.
Practical Comforts
The apartment comes with all those little things that make a difference when you’re settling in somewhere. There’s decent Wi-Fi (I worked from here a couple of days without issues), and the bathroom is modern enough without feeling out of place in the old building. Storage space is actually generous — you can properly unpack, which feels like such a treat after staying in cramped hotel rooms. The bed is comfortable, though not spectacular, and the neighborhood stays pretty quiet at night, which surprised me given how central everything is.
Why Guests Love It
What keeps people coming back here isn’t fancy amenities or flashy decor — it’s the feeling of actually living in Brno rather than just visiting it. You’ll find yourself shopping at the local market, grabbing coffee at the corner café, and walking home through streets that feel familiar after just a day or two. The value is solid for what you’re paying, especially considering that location. It’s the kind of place where you can imagine extending your stay just because it feels so natural to be there, and honestly, that’s not something you can say about most accommodations these days.
Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Brno through trusted local agencies that provide insider knowledge about the best neighborhoods for experiencing the city’s unique blend of history and technology.

Guest Reviews
Great location, easy check-in, close to railway station.
Very comfortable and had a well supplied kitchen. Great location!
Nice service, the contact is patient and hospitality.
The location is pretty close to the station and downtown.
The breakfast is excellent ❤️ perfect!!
Conveniently located near the main railway station and city center, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The Wi-Fi was reliable, the bed comfortable, and while the shower was good, some water leaked through the curtain. The spacious kitchen had everything needed, and the breakfast was fantastic!
that it was recently renovated
Location of the property is in the city centre so walking distance to all the restaurants, attractions and railway station. It wasn’t loud or unpleasant so really great location. It was perfectly clean, had all the necessary things for a short stay (we stayed one night only). And must mention - amazing breakfast which was brought by two lovely ladies. For the family of four we couldn’t eat all, honestly was way above expectations. Pick up/drop off keys was hassle free as well. Just make sure you read the instructions sent by the owner as they’re very detailed and clear.
Very clean and very close to train station and city centre.
location is very good, in the centre but quiet.
