You know what caught me off guard about apartino?
You know what caught me off guard about apartino? The name doesn’t do it justice – I was expecting some generic apartment-hotel hybrid, but this place actually has personality. Walking up to the building on Cejl street, you’re in this sort of transitional neighborhood where old Brno meets the newer developments, and honestly, it works better than you’d think.
The whole “10 minutes to city centre” thing is legit, by the way. I timed it – well, maybe 12 minutes if you’re the type who stops to look at things, but it’s a pleasant walk down toward Svobody square. What they don’t tell you is that you’ll pass this little Vietnamese bakery about halfway that does incredible bánh mì for like 80 crowns. The free parking though – that’s the real winner here. I mean, anyone who’s tried to park near the center knows you’re looking at paying through the nose, so having your own spot is honestly worth the walk.
Inside, it’s clear someone actually thought about how people use hotel rooms. The Nespresso machine isn’t just there for show – they stock it properly with decent pods, and there’s this little setup where you can actually sit and drink your coffee without perching on the bed. Netflix works seamlessly too, which saved my evening when I was too tired to venture out after a long day exploring Špilberk Castle. The rooms have this modern-minimalist thing going on, but not in that sterile way where you’re afraid to touch anything. More like someone’s stylish friend let you crash at their place. The shower has proper pressure – I know, weird thing to mention, but you know how hit-or-miss that can be in older European buildings.
What really struck me was the attention to small stuff. The walls are thick enough that you’re not hearing every conversation in the hallway, the WiFi actually reaches every corner of the room, and they’ve got these blackout curtains that mean business. I’m usually a light sleeper, but I slept like a rock here. The area gets a bit lively on weekend evenings – you’re not far from some decent bars and that whole Cejl corridor scene – but it’s more energetic than obnoxious. During the week it’s pretty mellow.
Look, Brno isn’t Prague, and that’s exactly why I love it. It’s got this university town energy without feeling overrun by tourists, and apartino fits that vibe perfectly. You’re close enough to walk to Zelný trh market in the morning for fresh fruit and that famous cabbage (trust me on this one), but far enough out that you’re not paying old-town prices for everything. The 9.5 rating makes sense – it’s one of those places that just gets the basics right and then adds thoughtful touches that make you want to come back.

We liked everything there: apartment was very clean and comfortable, great location (about 12’ to city center), great host (easy communication), we found everything what we need there, private parking. Highly recommend!
What could be improved: Bed wasn’t very comfortable (let’s say 7 of 10). But if you are staying only few nights, do that’s doesn’t sound like a big problem.

It is only a 10-15 minute walk to the centre, there is private parking for the apartment - completely safe.
Tereza, the host, was really welcoming, ensured a smooth check in, gave lots of recommendations. We loved our stay so much that we extended by an additional night!
The apartment has everything you need and more, we were welcomed with a small bottle of wine.😊 We loved that the apartment had board games, chargers and even spare toothbrushes if you forget yours!
Overall excellent stay, highly recommended. Only con is no air con, but that did not affect our stay, there was a fan and we kept the blinds closed.

The apartment and building are great, modern, clean, easy to get around once you figure out the multiple doors.
What could be improved: Indeed it's a short walk away form the center of the city, but the area where you walk through feels a bit shady, we didn't have any issues, but didn't feel completely safe.

Really nice place. Host super nice. We had wine and candies waiting and all instructions where to eat(used one that she recommended and it was really good).
Parking inside the yard was huge plus for us.

Immaculate new apartment with exceptional kitchen/bathroom with Rituals toiletries and useful condiments in kitchen. Apartment spotlessly clean, spacious and very comfortable in safe area about 10 mins from centre. Easy to find from main train station with very clear instructions for accessing the property. Very quiet and appreciated window shutters to provide darkness at night. Appreciated coffee machine/pods and small complimentary bottle of wine. Everything you need for a short break in an exceptional apartment. Would definitely stay again.
What could be improved: Nothing, it certainly exceeded my expectations.
