APARTIA Skořepka, Brno-centrum
So I stumbled across APARTIA Skořepka during what was honestly a pretty frantic search for decent accommodation in Brno's center – you know how it is when you're booking last minute and half the places look sketchy online.
So I stumbled across APARTIA Skořepka during what was honestly a pretty frantic search for decent accommodation in Brno’s center – you know how it is when you’re booking last minute and half the places look sketchy online. But this one turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises that makes you feel like you actually know what you’re doing when you travel.
The location is what really gets you first. Skořepka street is this quiet little side street that’s literally a three-minute walk from Náměstí Svobody, but somehow it feels completely removed from all the tourist chaos. I mean, you’re right there in the thick of things – I could practically roll out of bed and grab coffee at that little place on Česká street – but the building itself sits on this calm stretch where you’re not dealing with drunk groups stumbling past your window at 2am. The apartments themselves have this modern, clean-lined thing going on without being sterile, if that makes sense. Everything feels deliberately chosen rather than just thrown together from some corporate furniture catalog. The kitchenette was actually functional (shocking, I know), and I appreciated that they didn’t cheap out on things like decent lighting and proper blackout curtains. You know what really impressed me though? The shower pressure was fantastic – apparently a rare commodity in some of these converted historical buildings around Brno’s center.
What I found interesting is how they’ve managed to keep that residential neighborhood feel while still being properly set up for travelers. The check-in process was smooth – none of that awkward hunting around for a reception desk that doesn’t exist – and honestly, the whole place just felt more grown-up than your typical hotel experience. I stayed during a busy conference week in September, and while other parts of the city center were absolutely crawling with people, this little pocket stayed relatively peaceful. The only minor thing I’d mention is that if you’re planning to drive, you’ll want to sort out parking ahead of time since street parking can be a bit of a gamble in this area. But really, once you’re settled in here, you’re close enough to everything that you probably won’t need a car anyway. I found myself walking to dinner spots in the Jewish Quarter, wandering over to Špilberk Castle when the mood struck, or just meandering through those narrow streets around the cathedral – all easily doable from this base. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re living in Brno rather than just passing through, which I suppose is exactly what you want from an apartment-style stay.

Wonderful
Perfect location. Apartments were clean and smelled really nice. Very polite and responsive staff
Very Good
good position, near the old town. the apartment was very big and clean.
What could be improved: the heating system doesn't work.
A nice stay, with beautiful modern interior.
Nice, new and clean, cartoon walls for noise elimination from neighbours? Nice design and decorarion. Nice welcome with their own wine, thanks!
What could be improved: It was a city centre, but ouch, the environmet outside was ugly, did not know that Brno can look like that. But the interior overweighted this con. Probably not recommended for some sensitive girl alone, she would be feared to death during the nights. Not a location for renting for a year, but, for a week or two completely ok.
Very Good
Easy check in and check out process, free parking. Plenty of equipment in the kitchen.
What could be improved: A little noisy because of the train.

Good location, very good place to leave a car in the inner parking lot.
Wonderful
Well located, clean, gave great access to the city, either a short walk or 1 stop on the tram. Good to be in a neighbourhood. Apartment was well equipped, thoughtfully done. Very comfortable in a mid century smaller block.
What could be improved: Everything was fine.
Good
Everything was well. Normal location close to the city center.
What could be improved: The only thing you should know is that parking mentioned in a booking info might be occupied, but there are a lot of free place on the street near by the house.
